La Cocay was inaugurated in 1995 in Plaza Jade near Corpus Cristi Church. After eight successful years, we moved to our own building downtown in Cozumel’s Historic District .Our old wood building maintains some of the historical and culturally Caribbean characteristics of old Cozumel. The seating area includes an air- conditioned main dining room and bar, a covered terrace and lush tropical garden.
With attentive service, and delicious food, La Cocay has become a popular or even obligatory place for both tourists and local residents to celebrate special occasions or to just celebrate life. Additionally, La Cocay has also
served as a private destination for many events such as weddings, quinceanos, corporate lunches, posadas and benefits.
Our tapas, duck firecrackers and napa salad are a few of our distinctive dishes. The filet mignon with red wine demi-glace and roasted garlic mashed potatoes , sesame peppered tuna and fresh red snapper are popular choices for
our steady customers. When ordering though, it is important to leave some room to try one of our exquisite desserts. A visit to La Cocay would not be complete without trying our decadent chocolate torte.
As a supplement to our classic dishes, we change the menu frequently and have daily specials to take advantage of the seasonal availability of some ingredients. On your next visit, you may find a tasty new surprise!
