Once a major Mayan center, the name “Cozumel” derives from the Mayan word “Ah-Cuzamil-Peten,” meaning simply, “land of the swallows.” So once you get some of our fine food and drinks in your gullet, you’ll be in excellent keeping
with ancient Mayan tradition! Located just off the Yucatan coast on Mexico’s largest island, Cozumel offers Mexico’s best diving, beautiful coral gardens, and some remote reefs where you can spot dolphins hard at play. The island is
also good for bird watching (just don’t look up!), but we recommend you check out the wildlife inside Hard Rock instead, where for years we’ve been cataloging and preserving rare rock ‘n’ roll artifacts, keeping them as primed
as possible in their natural state. The unique Mayan architectural style makes this one of the most beautiful Hard Rock Cafes in the world, and complementing our numerous rock objects is a superb ceiling mural depicting a vast underwater
setting. In fact, this mural is so realistic you may never need the actual beach, but we understand if you do venture out, just so you can say you did. All beachin’ aside though, the choice for Mayan culture in the new millennium
is the Hard Rock Cafe Cozumel!
